Well Hello There!

Hey there! I’m Ashley — the coffee-fueled, memory-chasing, chaos-embracing mama and photographer behind Ashley Photography!

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me with my husband, Derek, and our nine incredible kiddos. Yes… nine! And yes, we definitely turn a few heads when we walk into a room! Desirae, Nakia, Hunter, Krin, Ryker, Londyn, Hayes, Piper, and Rowen are my greatest adventure and the heart behind everything I do. They inspire me daily to chase creativity, celebrate life’s little moments, and preserve memories that matter.

My photography journey began nearly 17 years ago with a senior session (besides the thousands of photos I took of my own kids, of course!). I attended South Dakota State University for graphic design and quickly discovered I had a natural eye for composition, light, and storytelling. What started as a passion soon became a calling, and in 2011, I took the leap and turned photography into my full-time career.

Over the years, I’ve been honored to be involved with organizations such as AIGA, the South Dakota Professional Photographers Association, and the Dell Rapids Chamber of Commerce, where I also served on the Board of Directors in 2013 and 2014.

Today, I proudly call Sioux Falls home and serve families, seniors, and couples throughout Sioux Falls and the surrounding communities. My goal is simple: create beautiful, authentic images that make you smile today and become treasured memories for years to come.
